The Lending Library is a component of the Child Care Resource & Referral Program at the Down East Partnership for Children (DEPC). The Lending Library is available to all professionals who work with infant and toddlers, preschool and school-age children. The Library is made up of two components: Workroom and Toy Lending Library.

General Lending Library Information

The Lending Library is open by appointment only.
Hours: Monday – Friday (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)    

(Membership must be current)
Annual Supply Fees (January to January)

-Registered child care homes -$10.00

-Child care centers with up to five classrooms - $30.00

-Child care centers with more than 5 classrooms $30.00 for first 5 rooms and $5.00 for each
 additional classroom

-Agencies (Mental Health, Public Schools & Family Resource Centers) - $30.00

Only legally operating early childhood programs that work with children, birth to five and school-age children are eligible for library privileges.

Workroom

The workroom is designed to help teachers and providers to develop lesson plans and produce
theme-based materials.

Equipment Available for use:

-Laminator (3 feet free each visit, $.75 per foot after 3ft) 

-Paper Cutter 

-Ellision Cutting Machine 

-Ellision Shapes (Puppets, borders, masks, animals, and many others)

Supplies Available for use:

-Construction paper and cardboard 

-Special paper (static cling, sponge and stamp) 

-Markers, crayons, scissors and other craft supplies 

Toy Lending Library

The Library houses a wide variety of developmentally appropriate toys, games, books, theme boxes, teacher resource books and planning materials for infant and toddlers, preschool and school-age children. Materials are available to be checked out for the following centers:

-Music Center

-Block Center

-Art Center

-Sand and Water Center

Resource materials and materials for dramatic play, language, science and math, and manipulative play are also available for check out.

Policies

-Items can be checked out for one month at a time.

-Theme boxes are available for check-out for 2 weeks 
 (theme boxes can be reserved in advance).

-To check-out theme boxes, members must have attended the required theme box training.

-A late fee of $5.00 will be charged if materials are not returned on the due date and
 replacement cost will be billed if item(s) are not returned.

-Any item (except for plush toys) returned without being cleaned will be charged a $5.00
 cleaning fee.
