The following programs and services are funded by Down East Partnership for Children in the following agencies or organizations:

Braswell Memorial Library

Read and Grow Story Services or RAGSS provides language enriched story times for children in child care facilities, Headstart, More at Four classes and at DEPC for family homes. Families may participate in the book bag project of take home books and activities. RAGSS also offers reading activities and education for families.

Child Care Services Association

WAGE$ Salary Supplement Program provides salary supplements to child care providers based on education and length of employment.

Communities in Schools, Inc.

Spaulding Family Resource Center provides services for families in Spring Hope, NC. These services include parent education and support for both English and Spanish speaking families, playgroups, and a variety of services for senior citizens.

Williford Family Resource Center provides services for families on site at Williford Elementary School in Rocky mount, NC. These services include parent education and support and one-on-one work with children.

Community Enrichment Organization

This family resource center provides services for families in Tarboro and Princeville, NC. Services include information and referral, a fatherhood support project and a teen support group.

Edgecombe County Department of Social Services, and the Nash County Department of Social Services

Child Care Subsidy Program helps low-income parents pay for child care and provides education about choosing quality child care.

Flex Funds are emergency family support funds provided to help families in crises and prevent out of home placement of children.

Twin County Community Health Services works with child care centers and homes to help them meet health and safety guidelines required for quality programming. Also works to identify children who need health services and/or a medical home and provides health and safety education for children and families.

Edgecombe County Public Schools

Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a national in-home service designed to help parents develop parenting skills and learn more about child growth and development. PAT is available for any parent with children, ages birth to 5.

Preschool/Kindergarten Transition Program works with families with 3 - 4 year old children to help them prepare for kindergarten. The program provides information and referral to services, in-home activities and parent education workshops.

Teacher Resource Center houses a Lending Library for teachers of young children and includes appropriate resource materials that can be used in the classroom.

Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools

Early Childhood Development and Learning Practices works with families with 3 - 4 year old children to help them prepare for kindergarten. Provides in-home services and activities as appropriate, and encourages parent participation in school activities.

More at Four (MAF) provides high quality early childhood education for 4 year old children who may need extra help to be ready for success in school. More at Four classes are available in schools and child care facilities in both Edgecombe and Nash counties.
