Family First: All the Information You Need with One Phone Call!

DEPC’s Family Services Program coordinates a variety of evidence-based programs for families in Edgecombe and Nash Counties seeking to improve the lives of their children and their family’s well-being. The DEPC Family Services Program also operates the comprehensive DEPC Family First System, a free information and referral service for families residing in Edgecombe and Nash Counties who may be looking for general child development information, parenting resources/classes, assistance finding or paying for quality childcare or other community resources and programs.

With a database of over 150 community resources, a trained Family First Specialist is able to connect families to DEPC programs, activities and/or other community resources that the family may need or be interested in. The Family First Line can be accessed either by appointment, phone calls or walk-in from 9:00am-5:00pm, Mondays-Fridays.

Call the Down East Partnership for Children and ask for one of our Family First Specialists at (252) 985-4300 or toll free at 1-888-285-0849.

*All family identifying information that is collected and entered into DEPC’s Family First Database is private and information shared with a Family First Counselor is held in strict confidence unless abuse or neglect of a child or adult is suspected.
