Emerging Issues Forum Set

Down East Partnership for Children will present the Healthy Kids Collaborative as a part of the 26th annual Emerging Issues Forum on Feb. 7 in Raleigh.
Selected for its innovative strategies combatting the childhood obesity rate, the nonprofit organization will present to the nation’s top business, nonprofit, academic and professional health care groups. (More)

Nonprofit group pleased with audit results

Down East Partnership for Children received a “clean bill” of financial health, according to an independent audit. An audit of 2009-10 Smart Start activities found the organization was in compliance and had appropriate internal controls. The nonprofit group administers Smart Start for Nash and Edgecombe counties.
